Market scan overview
After you sign in, the screener is your home page. New accounts start with DayTraitor Focus $5–$15 so you can see today's core matches immediately. At the top you will see how many symbols match your current filters, the market session (when available), and a Data as of timestamp in Eastern Time (ET).
The results table lists matching stocks and ETFs. Click column headers to sort. Use Apply filters after changing any filter values, or pick an Easy button scan to load a preset instantly.
Easy buttons
Easy buttons are one-click scans grouped by strategy. They live in the panel below the scan heading. On the free plan, Focus $5–$15 is included (limited to 10 rows and 5 scans per day). Other Easy Button groups are Pro.
- DayTraitor — Focus $5–$15 (free flagship), plus Pro scans such as Under $25, Under $10, and Under $5.
- Intraday — Premarket gappers, opening momentum, and similar short-term setups (Pro).
- Swing — multi-day trend and pullback ideas (Pro).
- Investing — longer-horizon quality and value screens (Pro).
- Quick scans — classic high-volume and movers lists (Pro).
Tap a group name to expand it, then click a scan pill. The screener reloads with that preset's filters applied and matching tickers in the table. Advanced filters stay collapsed unless you open them yourself. Use Reset all at the bottom of the Easy buttons panel to clear presets and return to an unfiltered view.
Filters
Below Easy buttons is the filter form. The top row always shows the most common controls: search, type, exchange, sector, price, volume, market cap, relative volume, and change.
For more options, click Advanced filters to expand the panel (Pro). Inside you will find Descriptive, Fundamental, and Technical groupings. Set your values, then click Apply filters. Click the Advanced filters heading again to collapse the panel when you are done.
News ticker
A scrolling news bar runs along the bottom of the screener (and on login and subscribe pages). Headlines are pulled from our cached market news feed and update on a schedule — no extra clicks needed.
- Pause on hover — move your mouse over the ticker and scrolling stops so you can read a headline.
- Clickable headlines — each item is a link. Click a headline to open the full article on the publisher's site in a new tab.
- Tickers shown before a headline (when available) help you spot which symbol the story relates to.
Account and subscription
Open Account from the top-right of the screener (next to your email). There you can see:
- Access — whether you are on the free plan, a 7-day Pro trial, or paid Pro ($10/month).
- Trial ends or Current period ends — when your trial or billing period renews or expires.
- Manage subscription — opens the secure Stripe portal to update your card, view invoices, or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Subscribers also see a Pro badge in the screener header. To start a 7-day Pro trial ($10/month after the trial; card required), use Subscribe from the header or Account page.
